Job Description: Objectivity is looking for a world-class, talented and adventurous C++ Software Engineer to join our Engineering group. We’re looking for someone who likes working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys working on projects from concept to completion. The Software Engineer will be joining a great team of engineers building our next-generation scalable, distributed database management system.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced features for our next generation NoSQL, Big Data Management Software.
  • Enhance and advance current kernel modules and plug-in components.
  • Development will include working on one the following areas: Distributed processing, Distributed Cache Management, Distributed Transaction Management, Object Management, Asynchronous I/O, Graph Query and Analysis and performance tuning.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years experience, building system in C++, with actual industry experience in system-level development and maintenance, such as in operating systems, database management systems internals, networking and/or file systems.
  • Programming knowledge in Java and C# a plus
  • Passion for solving difficult problems.
  • Experienced with client/server, multi-threading, and Networking.
  • Experience debugging (symbolic and assembly level) complex software applications in
    UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar

Responsibilities:

  • Assist evaluators, including installation, integration guidance and hands-on demonstrations of capabilities
  • Perform technical qualification of prospects using Objectivity’s qualification methodology

  • Provide on/off-site standard and customized integration consulting to prospects and customers

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Job Description:

We are looking for talented and motivated candidates seeking to enhance their professional experiences as a software engineer. This position will provide experience in Quality Assurance and Technical Support in Objectivity’s premier database management products.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to Java, C++, and C# developers to solve problems related to the use of Objectivity/DB, a high concurrency, high availability object-oriented database
  • Create procedures, design, and develop automated test suites in C++, C#, and Java
  • Develop code to duplicate problems, provide solutions, and submit bug reports
  • Quality assurance planning, execution of test plans, testing code, validating functionality, setting test specifications, and reporting on the quality of Objectivity software products
  • Design and review test cases, testing strategies, test systems and regression scripts for Objectivity/DB Client and Server components
  • Work closely with developers to ensure that a product release of the utmost quality is delivered to our customers

Requirements:

  • Strong C++, Java, and/or C# programming experience
  • Experience with object-oriented concepts (design/analysis)
  • Strong UNIX, and/or Windows background (utilities, shell scripts, development environment, etc.)
  • Experience in interfacing to databases (relational and/or object-oriented)
  • Experience with Python, and/or Perl is desirable
  • Experience with running test plans, source code testing, and automated test scripts is a plus
