Maptek's I-Site software is a set of tools that allow users in the mining, engineering and forensics industries to collect, model and manipulate millions of scanned data points captured from high performance laser scanners. The Maptek I-Site product family is used to capture detailed 3D laser images, high-resolution photos and survey data.

As Maptek's customer base grew and the products were utilized for more complex operations, the development team looked for ways to upgrade the existing product family to better meet customer requirements. The team needed a scalable, real-time, future-proof data management system to sustain a competitive advantage.
