Objectivity Training

Objectivity in-class training courses are taught by very experienced experts in object oriented technology.

The instructors, in addition to teaching the features and techniques of objectivity database applications, also enjoy sharing their knowledge about databases, distributed processing, and good object-oriented design patterns. Objectivity courses are lab-intensive.

You will learn how to avoid using relational-style features in favor of a true Object-Oriented approach.

MENTORED WEB BASED TRAINING

Mentored Web Based Training students interact with a tutor via email and online forums. Although Mentored Web Based Training lacks the immediacy of the classroom environment it still allows answers that can be tailored to suit the student's problem domain.

Students who successfully complete the Mentored Web Based Training course will receive a certificate equivalent to the ones issued to attendees of standard training classes.

    Objectivity Database Administration

    Introduction
    The Objectivity Database Administration course is for database administrators who will be responsible for the maintenance of the Objectivity database at user sites or for a development team.

    This course introduces routine and non-routine DBA tasks including, moving your database files, managing database access locks, recovering from host or application failures, and backing up and restoring databases. The course begins with an overview of the Objectivity database and its architecture.

    Course Objectives
    Upon completion of this course, you will be able to run the various administration tools provided by Objectivity and perform basic troubleshooting tasks. You will also have an understanding of the network and resource issues affecting the performance of Objectivity/DB.

    Prerequisites
    Knowledge of the Solaris (or a similar UNIX) operating system is helpful.
